Darryl Matthews was the kid who let you come over to play video games, as long as you agreed to a round of Monopoly first. That instinct never really left him. Today he is an associate broker with Keller Williams, leads a team called the Matthews Group, and is still fascinated by how a community comes together: how neighborhoods take shape, why school districts fall where they do, and what makes one place feel like home. Growing up in Alger Heights and living all over West Michigan gave him a feel for this market that is hard to teach.
Ask him about a good day and he will point to the offer acceptance call on a home where someone raised their kids and told their story for twenty years. But the moment he is really after comes later. Six months past closing, he wants to run into a client, hug it out, and hear that the process was smooth and they still love the place.
